September 2013 (news)

Helsinki, Finland - Patrick travelled to Helsinki to present a seminar and a key note speech. First, Patrick conducted the seminar: Do You Want to Get Lucky? (Creating Opportunities). Subsequently, he presented a key note about Overcoming Tragedy, which was followed by a book signing for his book: Blessed to Survive.

Curacao - Netherland Antilles: Patrick travelled to Curacao in the Caribbean to present two seminars during the IOBA Master Class for young professionals in Curacao. Patrick taught the course Positive Seduction on day one and then conducted Painting With Passion: The Effective Use of Words on day two. Afterward, Patrick visited the Ostrich Farm where he rode an ostrich bare back.



Miami, Florida - Patrick taught a one hour seminar at the Miami-Dade State Attorney Office entitled: A Victim's Perspective: From a Victim Who Happens to Be a Lawyer. Patrick taught prosecutors how to deal with the victims they work with and gave a unique perspective to these lawyers with anecdotes from personal experience and stories of others.

Biography Channel: Patrick appeared on the television show "I Survived", which aired in July 2013. He told his story of survival after living through a nightmare that has come to be known as The Thanksgiving Day Massacre. Miramar, Florida - Patrick provided CEO Training for Non-Profit Leaders detailing the step necessary to run a growing and thriving non-profit civic organization. Topics covered were: membership growth, sponsorship, building your team, marketing and visibility and community impact.

May/June 2013 (news)

Seattle, Washington - Patrick spoke in Seattle during the TOYA Event for the Ten Outstanding Young Americans. Patrick was one of the recipients of the award for his work with Blessed to Survive. Patrick routinely shares his story of triumph over tragedy and gives away free copies of his book to victims of tragedy as he counsels them with a message of hope. Patrick's message in his acceptance speech was that people need to change their assumptions of others and assume the best in people - assuming that everyone has a legitimate reason for the way they are acting. In this way, we can feel more comfortable to share our own stories of facing and overcoming challenges, which lets others know that they are not alone in facing their struggles.


March/April (news)

Tallinn, Estonia - Patrick gave a seminar for budding young entrepreneurs and business leaders in Estonia in April. The seminar was Do You Want to Get Lucky? (Creating Opportunities).  Participants discovered steps to proactive promotion, finding people to open doors for you and positive decision-making.

Laanemaa, Estonia - Patrick teamed up with Norwegian trainer, Per Stilling to lead the COC Academy for event organizers who are planning large scale conferences. Participants from all over Europe came to Estonia for the four day academy. In addition to private coaching sessions, outdoor activities, training sessions and know-how transfer modules, the Academy allowed participants to work in teams to begin preparation of their own conference. During this Academy, Patrick conducted one seminar called Leadership Roles and the Compassionate Leader.

February 2013 (news)

Pasadena, California - Patrick went to Pasadena to tape an episode of the Biography Channel show called "I Survived." It will air later this fall. He shared his story of survival after the Thanksgiving Day shooting in 2009 and he discussed the lessons learned as related in his book: Blessed to Survive - The Thanksgiving Day Massacre.  (www.blessedtosurvive.com)  Afterward, Patrick made a brief stop at the Rose Bowl for a picture.


West Palm Beach, Florida - On February 22, Patrick spoke at a special event hosted by Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach called: "Seeking God for the City". The event had four speakers share their stories of survival after being hospitalized for serious medical conditions. As with all his speeches, Patrick met with members of the audience after the event to hear their stories of survival and inspiration while selling copies of his book.

January 2013 (news)

Cambridge, England UK  - Patrick spoke at the University of Cambridge in England sharing his story of triumph over tragedy during Inspiration Day on January 26, 2013. Afterward, Patrick met with the audience and sold copies of his book: Blessed to Survive - The Thanksgiving Day Massacre.



JCI UK - While in England, Patrick presented two seminars for JCI UK. Patrick taught Jumpstart Your Organization teaching the local chambers how to increase their membership while giving real value to their members. The next day, he presented Positive Seduction - Getting Others to Follow You Willingly.

Miami, Florida - Patrick gave a leadership training for non-profit civic leaders at JCI Miami. The training combined elements of the Jumpstart Your Organization seminar and CEO Training For Non-Profit Leaders. JCI Miami is a local organization of Junior Chamber International - A Worldwide Federation of Leaders and Entrepreneurs.

December 2012 (news)

Miami, Florida - Patrick spoke at First United Methodist Church in downtown Miami, Florida. The topic was overcoming tragedy and the role of faith. First United Methodist Church is centrally located in downtown Miami across from the American Airlines Arena. It has a diverse congregation from all walks of life. After the talk, Patrick met with members of the congregation to sign copies of his book and answer questions about overcoming adversity. Per Rev. Weems: "Patrick Knight offered a most profound testimony of faith and hope to my congregation. Grounded in scripture and gifted with the ability to speak from the heart with passion, Patrick tells his story of tragedy and triumph.
