Miami, Florida - Patrick spoke at First United Methodist Church in downtown Miami, Florida. The topic was overcoming tragedy and the role of faith. First United Methodist Church is centrally located in downtown Miami across from the American Airlines Arena. It has a diverse congregation from all walks of life. After the talk, Patrick met with members of the congregation to sign copies of his book and answer questions about overcoming adversity. Per Rev. British Columbia, Canada - Patrick spoke at the JCI Canada National Convention held at the Kimberly Ski Lodge in the Kootenoys. High in the mountains, the theme of the conference was "Climbing to the Top". On Thursday morning, Patrick presented the seminar: Painting with Passion - The Effective Use of Words to about 120 participants. During Friday's lunch, Patrick was the keynote speaker for the entire conference speaking to a packed house as he talked about his tragedy and overcoming adversity. Book sales were brisk after the key note. During his time in Canada, Patrick got a chance to hike to the top of a mountain and kayak in the white waters.

Breaking News: On August 25, 2012, Patrick released his book called Blessed to Survive - The Thanksgiving Day Massacre. The book is a true story of survival stemming from one of the most horrific tragedies in South Florida, which occurred on Thanksgiving Day 2009. Patrick was shot during the shooting incident and endured a three month coma, after which, he had to learn how to talk, walk, write, tie his shoes, brush his teeth - everything, like a baby. The book will be available exclusively from the book website for six months to accommodate those people who wanted signed copies of the book. After that, it will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other retail outlets.

Des Moines, Iowa - Patrick conducted several training seminars at the USJC National Leadership Conference in Des Moines. The conference drew delegates from all over the United States. Patrick conducted a networking workshop on Friday teaching how to build relationships in your network rather than just create contacts. On Saturday morning, he gave a key note seminar for about 200 participants called: "Do You Want to Get Lucky? (How to Create Your Own Opportunities)". Saturday afternoon, Patrick conducted a smaller seminar called "Painting With Passion" teaching people how to paint a picture with words and then how to find their own passion when they speak.

Braunschweig, Germany - At the European Leadership Conference, Patrick presented the seminar Painting with Passion . . . the Effective Use of Words. Young leaders from across Europe attended the seminar and learned how to use words to create mental images and experiences in the minds of the listener. Participants also watched videos of various speakers and learned how to harness their own passion when speaking to others.
