Breaking News: Patrick Knight has been appointed as the 2011 Training Director for Junior Chamber International - Worldwide Federation of Leaders and Entrepreneurs. Patrick will head the JCI Training Commission, which has four other members from Suriname, Nigeria, India and Belgium. The Training Commission is responsible for certification of international trainers, developing new leadersip courses and conducting leadership courses around the world. In addition, the Commission will organize the Miami JCI Trainer's Academy in September. Istanbul, Turkey - Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Patrick traveled to Istanbul to speak at the Bahcesahir University. Patrick conducted a two hour seminar called: Roar Like a Lion - Commanding the Room as a Speaker. Patrick also met with the local press in Istanbul to discuss his appearance in Turkey and also the need for a Toastmasters or JCI group at the university.
Miami, Florida: On December 12, Patrick conducted the Jumpstart Your Organization seminar for the new board of directors of the Coconut Grove Jr. Chamber of Commerce. The seminar focused on how to identify the target audience and ultimately how to get those people interested in joining the organization.
Book acknowledgements: Patrick has been cited and/or acknowledged in two recent books that have been published internationally. A case study about Patrick was included in the Portuguese book: Networking - Your Professional Survival Guide by Filipe Carrera. In addition, Patrick was mentioned in the acknowledgements of The Leader's Workbook by Norwegian author, Kai Roer.

Osaka, Japan: Patrick traveled to Osaka, Japan, speakin
g at the JCI World Congress. JCI is a world-wide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs and this World Congress had nearly 8,000 people in attendance from more than 100 countries around the world. During the conference, Patrick gave a series of four talks during the morning show presentations on a variety of topics from the impact of one person on a community to working in local organizations to global networking to future planning. On the first day, he also spoke about his journey over the last year from tragedy to survival through perserverance. The presentations were streamed live all over the world through the JCI website.

Osaka, Japan: On November 3rd, Patrick presented a 3-hour seminar on networking to make connections. The class was originally set for 30 participants but with such a huge overflow a second group of 30 attendees was allowed into the seminar. Later, on November 6th, Patrick presented the seminar Do You Want to Get Lucky: How to Turn an Idea into Reality. This seminar also had an overflow crowd of more than 140 participants from six different continents.

Miami, Florida - Patrick spoke in a small workshop to people who have experienced major tragedy and/or lost a spouse. Patrick shared his story and the ways he is moving forward with his life after the Thanksgiving Day Massacre.
Breaking News: Patrick Knight was honored as one of the 40 Outstanding Lawyers Under 40 in Miami-Dade County. The award was based on both accomplishments as an attorney as well as leadership skills and contributions to the community. Patrick has been an attorney since 1997 and has tried over 70 cases to jury verdict, including many high exposure cases.

Daytona, Florida - Patrick spoke at a JCI conference in Florida about the value of giving back to your community and ways to be successful in your organizational career. About 125 people were in attendance.

Breaking news: Patrick was bestowed the highest honor in the JCI organization when he was awarded a JCI Senatorship this past month. JCI is a world-wide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs. Being made a Senator in the organization grants you lifetime membership and is based on your accomplishments and accoldades from your work with the organization. Patrick is Senator #70000.

North Miami, Florida- Patrick taught a one day seminar for the North Miami Jr. Chamber of Commerce on how to give effective and dynamic presentations. During the course, participants learned theories and techniques, which were followed by immediate practice doing a presentation in each module.
